How to Search

Structural Searches

The primary purpose of this search engine is to be able to search the frame and structure of the Holy Bible. By using unique search parameters, you will be able to uncover the hidden treasures it contains.

Number Searches

The number search is probably the most unique search to this site. By searching by a single number, the search will return a sampling of everything related to that number. Take for example, a search for 2424, which is the Greek Strong's number for Jesus, will return:

Strong's Definitions

Both Hebrew and Greek Strong's definitions are returned, and their nearest neighbors.

Webster's 1828 Words by Position

This will return the 1828 Webster's Words at the searched position in both volumes, A-L and M-Z.

Mnemonics

Mnemonics will help remember the numbers, by either unrelated words that are spelled numerically by ordinal position or by the keypad of your phone. All the words of Webster's 1828 Dictionary are indexed, as well as all the words of the King James Bible.

Bible Search by Strong's Number

A sampling of verses returned by Hebrew and Greek Strong's number searches are returned, and their nearest neighbors.

Bible Search by Verse Position

This will return verses by their distance from the major and minor pillars of Scripture.

Bible Search by Calculated Verse Position

This will return the verses from the beginning at calculated distances in relation to the searched number.

Bible Search by a Reversed number Verse Position

This will return the verses from the beginning at calculated distances in relation to the reversed searched number.

Bible Search by Verse Gematria

This will return all the verses in both Greek and Hebrew that the numeric values add up to the searched number.

Bible Search by Alphanumeric Words

This will return a sampling of all the verses that contain the alphanumeric number searched.

Bible Search by BCV (Book Chapter Verse) and CV (Chapter Verse) Numbers

This will return all the verses in which both Old and New Testament BCV (Book Chapter Verse) and CV (Chapter Verse) numbers that match the searched criteria.

Bible Search by KJV Word Position

This will return the verses that contain the KJV Word at the searched position in Old and New Testaments.

Calculated Number Searches

To perform a calculated number search, it's easy. Prefix your search with =. In MOST cases you will not need to do this. Just type a calculation, and the search will detect that you intend on making a calculated search.

To perform a relative search, prefix your search with + - * /.

Date Difference Calculation

If the program detects two dates separated by a -, it will calculate the difference between the two dates. Prepending the = sign is optional. If you omit the second date, it will use today's date. The hyphen - is optional if the second date is omitted.

Strong's Number Searches

To search by Strong's number, designate the Hebrew Strong's number search by using an H in front of the number, or G if searching the Greek Strong's number.

H430 will search the Hebrew Strong's # 430 for occurrences of the Hebrew word for God.

G2424 will search the Greek Strong's # 2424 for occurrences of the Greek word for Jesus.

Strong's List Searches

If you wish to look for several Strong's numbers at once, add a hyphen - to include a range, or just a hyphen to the Strong's number to begin from there.

Alphanumeric Word Searches

Instead of having to remember the exact wording of a number, for example, an hundred threescore and fifteen, you can append an A in front of the number.

Word Searches

To perform a Word search, you may search for single or multiple words, or even include a Strong's number, or Alphanumeric number.

To perform a wild card search, use an * at the end of your word.

Append Word Searches

To append to your current Word search or Strong's number search, you can simply use an & in front of your search.

To search by word occurrence, use {optional word}@{number} or {Strong's number}@{number} for the occurrence you are looking for.

Multiple Word Occurrences in Verse Search

To search for verses in which a word, Strong's number, Alphanumeric number, or phrase occurs multiple times within a verse, you can repeat the word x number of times or use a Regular Expression type shortcut directly after the search term in the form of term{min,max} occurrences.
