BURGH, noun burg. A different orthography of burg, borough, which see.
BURGH'-BOTE, noun [burgh and bote.] In old laws, a contribution towards the building or repairing of castles, or walls, for the defense of a city or town.
BURGH'-BRECH, noun [burgh and break.] A fine imposed on a burgh for a breach of the peace.
