Mat 1:2  Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and hisG846 brethren;

Mat 1:11  And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time theyG846 were carried away to Babylon:

Mat 1:18  ¶ Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as hisG846 mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before theyG846 came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Mat 1:19  Then Joseph herG846 husband, being a just man, and not willing to make herG846 a publick example, was minded to put herG846 away privily.

Mat 1:20  But while heG846 thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto himG846 in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in herG846 is of the Holy Ghost.

Mat 1:21  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call hisG846 name JESUS: for heG846 shall save hisG846 people from theirG846 sins.

Mat 1:23  Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call hisG846 name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Mat 1:24  Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden himG846, and took unto him hisG846 wife:

Mat 1:25  And knew herG846 not till she had brought forth herG846 firstborn son: and he called hisG846 name JESUS.

Mat 2:2  Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen hisG846 star in the east, and are come to worship himG846.

Mat 2:3  When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with himG846.

Mat 2:4  And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of themG846 where Christ should be born.

Mat 2:5  And they said unto himG846, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

Mat 2:7  Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of themG846 diligently what time the star appeared.

Mat 2:8  And he sent themG846 to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship himG846 also.

Mat 2:9  When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before themG846, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

Mat 2:11  ¶ And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary hisG846 mother, and fell down, and worshipped himG846: and when they had opened theirG846 treasures, they presented unto himG846 gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Mat 2:12  And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their ownG846 country another way.

Mat 2:13  And when theyG846 were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and hisG846 mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy himG846.

Mat 2:14  When he arose, he took the young child and hisG846 mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

Mat 2:16  ¶ Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereofG846, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.

Mat 2:18  In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for herG846 children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

Mat 2:20  Saying, Arise, and take the young child and hisG846 mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.

Mat 2:21  And he arose, and took the young child and hisG846 mother, and came into the land of Israel.

Mat 2:22  But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of hisG846 father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:

Mat 3:3  For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make hisG846 paths straight.

Mat 3:4  And the sameG846 John had hisG846 raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about hisG846 loins; and hisG846 meat was locusts and wild honey.

Mat 3:5  Then went out to himG846 Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,

Mat 3:6  And were baptized of himG846 in Jordan, confessing theirG846 sins.

Mat 3:7  ¶ But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to hisG846 baptism, he said unto themG846, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Mat 3:11  I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: heG846 shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Mat 3:12  Whose fan is in hisG846 hand, and he will throughly purge hisG846 floor, and gather hisG846 wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Mat 3:13  ¶ Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of himG846.

Mat 3:14  But John forbad himG846, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
